What is the goal of the first implant consultation in the office?
The goal is not to close the case. It is to get the patient to say yes to the next step, the diagnostic visit. A lot of dentists overload that first meeting, trying to diagnose, present, and sell all at once, and they overwhelm the patient into stalling. Keep your eyes on the actual job of the first consult. The patient walked in the door because something created interest. Your task between that moment and the moment they leave is to build enough trust and momentum that they reschedule for a proper diagnostic exam. That is a win. Treat the first consult as a door, not the whole house. Get them through it cleanly and the real case work happens at the next visit.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
