Should I charge for the first implant consultation or offer it free?

Make the first one free, or close to it. I know that feels backwards, especially after dental school taught you to value every hour. But the free consult is almost always the most likely entry point into a real sales process for big cases, no matter how expensive the eventual treatment. A patient will hesitate to pay $300 just to find out if you can help them. They will walk in for nothing. Once they are sitting across from you, the relationship starts and the actual selling happens later, on the back end, where you recoup that time many times over. Charging at the door just shrinks the pool of people who ever meet you. Stop guarding the front door and start filling the room.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
