Will taking more clinical courses bring me more dental cases?
Better dentistry, yes. More cases, no, not by itself. I hear this on private calls all the time. James, let me just finish one more program, then I will start working on my selling. That belief that more and more courses somehow translate into patients finding you and valuing you is wrong. You will absolutely be a better dentist than the ones still stuck at the kindergarten level. Go through a full advanced program and you are on a different planet clinically. But the patient does not see the planet. To connect that skill to a yes, you have to explain why the course matters in terms of the loss it prevents for them. We are wired to take training, it is what dental school taught us to do, but training for its own sake does not fill your schedule.
