Does naming my treatment options actually help patients choose?
Yes, naming sells. This is one most dentists skip. If you do not name your options, the patient has less to grab onto and choosing gets harder. No name, fuzzy choice. And if the names you do use are hard to tell apart, people struggle just as much. So in my presentations I name everything, the options, the photos, the simulations, the digital previews. Each path gets a clear, distinguishable name the patient can hold in their head. It helps them differentiate, understand, and ultimately decide. Think about how a menu names dishes instead of listing ingredients. The name makes the choice feel real and pickable. Run your case report and your slides the same way. Give every solution a name that is easy to say and easy to remember, and watch how much smoother the choosing gets.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
