Should I personally send a note to a patient after a treatment presentation?
Yes, and at this stage it needs to come from you, not the front desk. After the presentation, a personal note from the doctor lands differently than another office mailer. It tells the patient that the person who will actually do the surgery sees them as a human being, not a transaction. Pair it with a one week follow-up call just to check in and answer any lingering questions. These two small gestures cost you almost nothing and they separate you from every other practice the patient is comparing you to. Most dentists hand all of this off and wonder why they feel interchangeable. So sign the note yourself. The patient remembers who reached out personally, and that memory is sitting there when they decide whether to say yes.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
