Dental Practice Advice about Inaccurate Thinking

Dental Practice Advice

In my dental practice advice series lets touch on the subject of inaccurate thinking.

If you used to do well but are struggling or are experiencing a decline, today’s post is for you!

“…But I’ve been doing it this way for years!” Bad, bad, bad!!

This way of inaccurate thinking will not bring back the good old days (c. 2007! Or before that c. 1998!), but it will set you back considerably because that kind of thinking will make you feel less confident, less motivated to do the weekly working on the business tasks PARAMOUNT for today’s reality, and as a result…less able to succeed in practice.

It’s one of the worst reasons or excuses I hear from dentists and one of the most difficult to give up even as I give them dental practice advice on how to change their thinking.

Just because something worked for you in your practice years ago doesn’t mean it should still be working today.

Markets. Demands. Expectations. ALL CHANGE

Economies change.

Tolerances change.

People change

How people CONSUME information, products, and services change.  AND WHO Consumes.

The science of understanding of how people choose, how YOU can influence their choice, and the science of habits is rapidly evolving too (things most dentists are completely unaware of).

You change

AND WHAT DENTISTRY IS TO THE GENERAL
PUBLIC 100 YEARS AGO, 50 YEARS AGO, AND
EVEN 10 YEARS AGO HAS EVOLVED DRAMATICALLY.

HAVE YOU?

So, make a list of the things you are doing in practice.
* What is still working?
* What is not working?

Maybe it’s time for a change and take my dental practice advice….when it comes to how you promote and sell…..You need systems and checklists in place.

Even though, compared to the past, you have to do more things simultaneously each and every month to attract and keep patients, making the right changes will make practicing a whole lot easier and more fun.

Difficult times require making big choices…..start here by checking out my top selling book on Amazon.
