Now think about Dollar Tree. My first thoughts are cheap crap, unsafe products, Chinese junk.

In implant dentistry, we have ClearChoice, Affordable Dentures & Implants, Aspen, Golpa, Renew, etc.

While Affordable dentures and implants says “affordable” if you look at their implant pricing, they mean business and their fee is higher than a lot of dentists who seem to want to discount themselves out of business.

What About the Other Big Names?

All on 4™ is a Nobel Biocare AG-trademarked term.

Well, at one point it had value. BUT the stable geniuses overseeing their marketing and sales team never really understood that. Now it has almost no power in practical use (other than selling courses to dentists) as they are terrible at offering consulting assistance via third party companies like us. Now, when you back off the term, and think more about it, it’s a TERRIBLE consumer term and in reality, was pitched to the dentists and oral surgeons. Gerald Niznick understood this name game business if ONLY to sell more implants to his customers and he was smarter at how he approached his names.

By the way, none of the big implant companies get this concept. They are too busy just pitching implants to dentists versus worrying about how those dentists buying will be able to sell something that is way above their sales abilities. (e.g. $50,000 full-mouth implant case). Neodent sort of gets it (an A for effort) and their mega client Golpa really gets it as he’s made sure to name what he does so he is differentiated from the others around him.

Think about that word – dental implant. Generic. No conveyance of a value. Sterile. Unrelated to what the patient wants which is TEETH!.

I used to joke that eventually some dentists would offer “free dentals implants” much like Free cleanings and bleaching.  At that time (c. 2014), I was seeing ads in eastern Europe for $29 dental implants. Well, here we are in 2023 and I’ve seen at least 1 doc in the US now offering free implants as a loss leader.
